Portrait Gallery 2

This is Sharon (her real name). She was on the scene around the time of Debby-Ann, whom she knew. Sharon turned up in a couple of videos in the late 80s/early90s, including the fledgling Rosalind Woods and you-know-who (about whom she had nothing good to say). What she was doing in RW was a bit of a mystery, because although she wasn’t exactly a teenager she didn’t really qualify for the older-woman tag. She also appeared in a couple of top-shelf mags, which led me to her. She was something to behold. In one of the spreads, they said she hailed from Birmingham and this turned out to be true. An agency from that very city called First Class advertised at the back of Practical Photography. I wondered if there was a small chance she might be on their books. I got in touch and to my amazement she was. Her card gave her name as Francis (with an “i”!) and stated she was available for catwalk and fashion assignments ( a far cry from her previous enterprises). I called and asked if she’d be available to sit for some portraits. She was. These were five of the results. It became immediately apparent she had not entirely put her previous modelling self behind her. I paid another visit to Birmingham and she came down to my flat in London for a bit of Spick and Spanery on video. She was some girl!
