Aka Donna Ambrose and a totally familiar face (and body) to men of a certain age. Dee, to her friends, was one of the shrewdest women in the business, as well as being an outstanding model. She also guarded her private life fiercely. Her endeavours enabled her to build up a portfolio of properties from which she derived significant rental income. She was nobody’s fool. There wasn’t anyone on the scene she didn’t know. She used to cut her cloth accordingly. If she liked you, a three-hour sympathetically-priced shoot could spin out into most of the day. She was great company and had a wicked sense of humour. She quietly withdrew from the limelight several years ago. She must be in her 60s now. She and Jo knew each other on the circuit but I was given her number by the webmaster of a site specialising in the more mature woman (most of whom were much older than Dee, so what she was doing on there is anyone’s guess). She became an early fixture on Beautiful Brits, to my eternal thanks. They don’t make them like Dee anymore!
