Kirsty
I encountered Kirsty in a photo studio I had been invited to by Shannah, in the backyard of which we did some pictures. She had pitched up to go on the (rather dubious) books of the bloke who ran the joint. She had already appeared in the pages of a certain newspaper. She was 19. I had my, by now, slightly upgraded though still extremely modest digital camera in my hand and quipped “You’re next”. Which she found amusing. At the end of the shoot with Shannah, I told the guy I’d be interesting in contacting the casual visitor. Her name was Kirsty and he offered to book me a shoot with her as he had decided to take her on. All was arranged and went rather well. She told me she had no formal agency agreement with him so gave me her number. Not long after that Kirsty and Co, our next internet venture, was born, with her friends Lea and Aimee joining forces very quickly. The studio didn’t get her much work and closed down precipitously not long afterwards.
