Jo
The very first issues of Joanne’s Lovely Leg Show were platformed on some shared server in the UK, believe it or not, with subscriptions being processed by a US payment service provider called Ibill, who soon went bust. Guidance was provided by a bloke I barely knew called Godfrey, who was a postman and a friend of a model Tara I used a few times on my small ads video output. We charged 10 dollars a month and for that subscribers got the grand total of 10 pictures a week. In those primitive days, that was not considered poor value for money. But we were also restricted with the number of sets we could upload by the small amount of disk space our hosting fee permitted. At that time I was still relying on my OM-1 to do the pictorial business which as you can see I hadn’t got much better at using from my earlier efforts with Mrs Smith. Nevertheless, this did not seem to make a difference as the subscriptions began to mount up. This allowed me to make my first investment in a digital camera, a titchy little thing which cost more than 700 quid. However, the step-up was to prove most fruitful. In this set, Jo wanted you to be in no doubt where we got the site’s main influence from.
