Jo

If it hadn’t been for Jo, I probably wouldn’t be trying to entertain you with this blog now. Jo, who hails from West London, was put my way by a model called Amanda Long (also known by her married name Hughes). Amanda was a dancer who worked on cruise ships and got into modelling after hubby persuaded her to have some pictures done at a studio. She was quite prolific on the scene throughout the 1990s (notably with, yes, Fiona Cooper who dubbed her Kathryn). She and Jo met up at a joint shoot somewhere and they did a couple of videos together for me when I began ploughing that particular furrow to operate commercially in a very basic small-time way. When the internet (or the “information superhighway” as Clive James called it on his TV show) began making its way into more and more households, it was to Jo I turned with the prospect of setting up a pin-up website with her as the star. She ticked all the boxes in that respect and was great to be around — she liked a proper laugh. She didn’t hesitate to agree. Joanne’s Lovely Leg Show made its entrance in late 1999. It took off like the proverbial rocket. [File sizes of the images were very small. There has been a slight increase in resolution which means the quality ain’t the greatest.]
