Meanwhile, back in Croydon, Maggie McCully was one of the “home-grown” favourites and of course understandably very popular. Despite her name, there was no evidence she had been anywhere near Scotland. Whoever took these pics has remained the biggest mystery of the Spick and Span snappers. Here’s a double helping of scans from my contact sheet collection of one of Maggie’s well-thumbed appearances which may not have been in circulation before (apologies if they have been). What was also interesting is that images from another of Maggie’s shoots found their way into another less-esteemed pocket-book. All will be revealed tomorrow.
