Pin-Up Stamps

Somewhere down the line I acquired a batch of 1950s pin-up photos reduced to postage stamp size with a credit on each. What the thinking behind this and how they were made available, at what price, I have no idea. The majority were taken by good old George Harrison Marks, with others by his contemporary Russell Gay. Gay found his way into Spick and Span whereas Marks didn’t (doubtless because he ran his own empire). And one of them featured Shirley Ann Field in her pre-film-star days.
