Hide and Peek
Just like Scottish smudge Shaw did with his bevy (and I don’t mean drink) north of the border, I have often returned to various local locations to photograph models. Along the Essex Way near where I live, there are a number of bird hides frequented at specific times of the year by hordes of twitchers. They are more likely to be more interested in the winged species rather than the leggy one, but even so they are best to be avoided. More often than not the hides are pleasantly quiet, except for the occasional dog walker ambling nearby. This is my most often used one; the model went by the name of Cleo.
