CFM
Back in the early Noughties when the worldwide web was exploding, there was an American site that gloried under the name of CFM High Heels (it’s not too difficult to work out what CFM stood for). Its architect remained anonymous though he made a few comments. He appeared to be an amateur but had access to a range of decent models, including Olivia pictured here. The focus was in its way Spick and Span, but he indulged in a lot of close-ups. This led one subscriber to complain bitterly that the photosets became rather repetitive. Instead of keeping things “inhouse”, our touchy friend launched a public attack on the critic, claiming his work had been celebrated by some notable fetish photographer (name escapes). Funny how these things stick in the mind. As an American, he focused on status and wealth rather than backstreet grime, the natural habitat of many a British snapper (note the car as well as the clothes). He also found one model who let him get his rocks off and appear in his own pictures (to be avoided). That said, no question a number of his images had a definite ToCo-easque appeal. CFM HH faded away some time ago.
