One from the top ten, I would argue, the reportedly Glasgow cashier RUTH CAVENDISH. Another model to be shamefully dispensed with quite quickly (unless she ditched our man Shaw). Ruth didn’t have the classic statistics of a catwalk or even pin-up gal, but that did not matter. She deserved her spot at the top of the S&S pantheon.
