The Name Escapes…

Time to dip back into the old ToCo picture file. I must confess the name of this model has flown right of the window (anyone able to help?). She didn’t arrive by way of the usual suspects and I think the extended set from this print was the only submission of her to the Croydon offices. Anyway, the location was a bit of a puzzle. It looks like a studio domestic set-up; you can just see two horizontal poles possibly securing the “wallpaper” backdrop. You wouldn’t want to sleep in that bed with all that clutter at one end. The Johnny Mathis LP was a curious prop. The funny little doll was strategically placed in front of it as Mathis was staring out at you ogling the girl. Some pictures from this set have the doll missing (why the photographer didn’t just remove the LP, which he obviously found disconcerting, I have no idea). Anyway, the backstreet/girl-next-door vibe ticks all the Spick and Span boxes. The calendar on the backdrop behind her, by the way, says 1965.
