Penny

I did comment on a post on this model in Vintage Fetish, but I came across this pic of Penny Lane so I thought I’d revive her here. She was one of the models in the very first copy of Beautiful Britons I purchased. That issue was from 1969 so London had been swinging a few years by then. As I remarked on VF, she was undoubtedly given that name by Croydon to show how with-it they now were. But what do I know, it might have been her real name. The pictures were obviously submitted to ToCo because ones from the sets they published also appeared in titles like Relax and maybe Mustang. This particular shot with the MGB was possibly taken in the grounds of the Gadoline Publications mansion, the location for many a low-rent pocket-book girlie mag. It does show that there was a bit of dosh floating around there. Who Ms Lane was, I don’t think anyone ever knew.
