As everyone surely knows, Scottish favourite Jane Paul often gave the impression she was wondering what she was doing there. This is another instance. Photographer Shaw wants her kneeling forward onto what looks like the stone wall often featured in his pics and has thoughtfully placed a handkerchief or some such on it so she doesn’t scratch or bruise her knee. Finally he gets her to reveal her stocking top. Jane looks as though she has either been distracted by something in the distance or her mind is elsewhere.
